It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Lohr of Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Marie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Marie. Though Marie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Lohr; her daughter Sarah Engst; her son-in-law Michael Engst; her grandchildren, Greyson McCormack and Payne Engst; and her siblings, Betty Heitzke and Billy Kelichner.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Dakin Humane Society in recognition of her lifelong love of animals.
