With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie M. Young of Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 16, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Marie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband Neil A. Young. She is survived by: her daughters, Charlene Gancarz (Daniel) of Granby and Tanya Alaameri of Springfield; and her grandchildren, Ivyana Young, Matthew Gancarz and Yasmeen Alaameri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marie's name can be made to Western Massachusetts Hospice, in appreciation for the compassionate care and support they provide to patients and families.
