He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Barnes and June Barnes (Baribeau); his son Justin Michael Barnes; his grandson Noah Anthony Barnes; and his siblings, Richard H. Barnes and Anita M. Servantez.
He is survived by: his wife Laura L. Barnes (Hart); his children, Fallon L. Barnes (Tylor) of Springfield, Krystie L. Barnes (Johnathan) of Enfield, CT, Mark A. Barnes II of Springfield, Steffanie L. Barnes of Chicopee, Nicholas A. Barnes (Nicole) of Monson and Samantha O. M. L. Barnes of Chicopee; his grandchildren, Tayah, Madilyn, Sophia, Johnathan, Landen, Ava, Alliana, Marilani and Grayson; his great grandchild Jasper; his brothers, Gordon W. Barnes of Feeding Hills, Harold W. B. Barnes, Jr. of San Lorenzo, CA and Wayne B. Barnes (Tamara) of Chicopee; and his brother-in-law Phillip Servantez of Stafford, CT. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 8:30 AM at the St. Pierre - Phaneuf Springfield Chapels (7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (395 Chestnut St, Springfield, MA 01104).
