She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Hood and Mary Hood (Counihan); and her siblings, Harold W. (Billy), John B. Hood (Jack) and Dorothy Colapinto (Hood).
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Sowa (Ted) of Wilbraham and Tom Newton (Beth) of Wilbraham; her grandchildren, Allison Sowa, Austin Sowa, Rachel Newton, Spencer Newton and Mia Newton; and her great grandchild Sophia Spear. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mary Mother of Hope Memorial Fund, or a charity of one's choice in Mary's name.
