He was predeceased by : his parents, Michael Bowler and Catherine Bowler (Fitzgerald); and his siblings, Richard Bowler (Joan), Mary Kane (Michael), Ann Walsh (Tom), Patrick Bowler, Breda Bowler and Sean Bowler.

He is survived by : his wife Bridget Bowler (Gannon); his children, Teresa Lilly (Thomas) of Garden City, NY, Michael Bowler (Lisa) of Somers, CT and Eileen Moriarty (Sean) of West Springfield; his grandchildren, Eileen Kupferberg (Michael), Sarah, Thomas Lilly, Kieran and Conor Moriarty; his great grandchildren, David and George Kupferberg; and his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Bowler of Springfield, Breda Bowler of Ballincolla and Margaret Gannon of County Mayo, Ireland. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.

His family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the John Boyle O'Reilly Club, 33 Progress Avenue, Springfield, MA 01104.
