He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Inez Tassel and James Van Tassel; his children-in-law, Stan Lawson and Debbie Van Tassel; his daughter Karen Lawson; his wife Anita Van Tassel; his children, Philip Van Tassel, Gary Van Tassel (Maureen) and Janet Van Tassel (Barry O'Kane); and his grandchildren, Alan Van Tassel (Jennifer), Keri Albano (Chris), Jason Van Tassel (Stacy), Eric Van Tassel (Amanda) and Courtney O'Kane. He was also cherished by 9 great grandchildren.
