Pitts of Springfield, Massachusetts, born in Allentown, Georgia, who passed away on September 4, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Coaston and Clara Coaston (Mathis); her former husband Marcus N. Pitts Jr.; her daughter Tawnya T. Pitts-Jones; her grandson Ryan L. Jones; and her siblings, Alice Lee, Tessie Lee, Rosa Lee, Verna Bell, Dorothy Girtman, Daniel and Andrew.
She is survived by: her children, Gary L. Colston Sr., Marsha Rose Pitts-Phillips (Earle, Sr.) and Marcus N. Pitts, III (Jocelyn); her grandchildren, Gary L. Colston Jr. (Kyra), Alice Marie Colston, Anneesah Colston, Randyl L. Jones Jr., Rodney L. Jones, Amaris Rose Phillips, Samuel A. Phillips, Jarreau L. Pitts (Andrea), Trevor J. Pitts and Lamar K. Pitts; her stepgrandson Earle Phillips, Jr. (Shannon); and her godson Bayete Ross Smith. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, dear friends.
