He was predeceased by: his parents, Rafael Rivera González and Secundina Rodriguez. He is survived by: his wife Dafne Alvarado; his children, Cynthia Santiago, Edgardo Echevarria and Shirley Echevarria; his sons-in-law, Freddy and Orlando; his grandchildren, Vanessa Echevarria, Edgardo Echevarria, Joseph Echevarria, Bellarose Echevarria and Aiden Echevarria; his great grandchild Wilson Santiago Jr.; and his grandson-in-law Wilson Santiago.
