He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas M. Brunton and Grace Brunton (Reagan); his wife Susan G. Brunton (Gelly); his daughter Cara Brunton-English (Mathew); his siblings, Thomas J. Brunton, William F. Brunton, Rev. Daniel B. Brunton, John J. Brunton and Winifred Brunton; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Brunton, Ann Brunton and Eileen Field (John).
He is survived by: his children, Thomas M. Brunton of Springfield, Raymond J. Brunton Jr. (Laurie) of Springfield, Lisa Podworski (Joseph) of Monson and Colleen Brunton-Lopez (Jose) of Chicopee; his adoptive son Gary Smith of Springfield; his sister-in-law Marion Brunton of Springfield; his grandchildren, Nicole, Joseph, Devin and Amanda; and his great grandchild Sophia Andrews.
