He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Martin and Gertrude Martin (Platt); his son Richard "Ricky" Martin; and his siblings, Russell Martin, John Martin and Shirley Schirck.

He is survived by: his friend Paul Rivest; his wife Theresa M. Martin (Courtney); his children, Lynn M. LaFleche of Springfield, Susan I. Martin of Springfield, Thomas M. Martin (David) of Springfield, Kenneth J. Martin (Kim) of Chicopee, Paul D. Martin of Chicopee and David P. Martin of Springfield; his grandchildren, Sarah (Marcil), Jessica (Tim), Kristie, Richard (Veronica), Kyle (Jessica), Karrie (Chris), Kenneth II (Jaime), Kevin (Nicole) and Kraig; his brother Daniel Martin of Springfield; his sister-in-law Marguerite Wendt of Germany; and his daughter Hope Church. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and many friends.
