He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Mongeon and Viola Mongeon (Lynch); and his sisters, Gloria Grindle and Therese Przechocki. He is survived by: his wife Lise Mongeon (Grondin); and his children, Debra Small of Ware, Ronald Mongeon of Stafford Springs, CT, Todd Mongeon of Springfield and Michael Mongeon (Kenneth Blood) of Leominster. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Ron was also very active in the drum corps community since his childhood and played in, and donated his time to the Marksmen, the Targets Drum and Bugle Corps and most recently, the Shriners Drum Corps.
