He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley and Nellie Kurtyka (Nitka). He is survived by: his sister Janet Mazzie (Philip) of Enfield, CT; and his niece Jennifer Angela Mazzie of Pendleton, SC. He is also survived by several cousins, other extended family members and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services (15 Ludlow Ave, Springfield, MA 01151). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (25 Parker St, Indian Orchard, MA 01151). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at the St. Aloysius Cemetery.
