We announce the death of Walter E. Cocchi (Springfield, Massachusetts), who passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 82. Walter will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J. Cocchi and Irma Cocchi (Bartolucci); his sister Gloria Rose Albano (Ralph); and his parents-in-law, Nicholas and Rose Maratea (Albano).
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Cocchi (Maratea); his sons, Eric Cocchi, Nick Cocchi (Wendi) and Ross Cocchi (Jen); his grandchildren, Owen, Max, Sam, Canon and Kenly; his sister Barbara Daborowski (John); his siblings-in-law, Peggy Woods, Ceil Roberts and Cliff Roberts; his friends, Sue and Steve Murphy of Westfield; and his caregivers, Erin, Sam and Mary Anne. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
