He was predeceased by : his parents, Wallace MacLennan and Elizabeth MacLennan (Hosley). He is survived by : his wife Debra MacLennan (Hoch); his son Jonathan MacLennan of Leominster; and his siblings, James MacLennan (Judy) of Shrewsbury and Leslie Tommasi (John) of No.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sterling Senior Center and Sterling Police Department (specifically, the Take Me Home Program).
