He was predeceased by: his wife Norma M. Ahlberg (Gustavson); his daughter Kirsten I. Ahlberg; his grandson Jason Kupfer; and his parents, Philip Ahlberg and Ulla Ahlberg (Hord).

He is survived by: his daughter Lynne Ahlberg Boyd (David Boyd) of Jefferson; his grandsons, Ronnie Kupfer and Kristopher Dufault; his great grandchildren, Kyrsten DuBois, Kadin Dufault, Jason, Johnathan, Travis and Aubriana Pensinger; his sister Christine Peterson of Holden; and his sibling's children, Wendy Rand, John and Keith Peterson.
