It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard W. Gibney Jr. of Sterling, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 17, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard "Bud" Gibney, Sr. and Frances C. (Schroeder); his sister Dorothy Massad; and his friend Phil Helle. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Gibney (Paradis); his children, Anne Gibney (Tom Bailey) of Holden, Mary Gibney of South Yarmouth and Richard "Buddy" Gibney, III of Worcester; his pet Eddie; and his siblings, Helen (Bill Fairbanks) of Grafton and William "Billy" Gibney (Mickey) of Auburn. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, as well as many nephews and nieces.
