She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Gonsalves; her daughter Dianne Schaeffer; her parents, Salvatore Tropea and Maria Tropea (Dovero); her stepdaughter Janice Shapiro; and her siblings, Salvatore (Vincent Tropea), Catherine Lancelotta, Terri Ford and Josephine Tofuri (Mary Pesaturo).

She is survived by: her children, Wayne Tofuri, Mary Ellen Gonsalves, Ann Farley and Joseph Tofuri; her former husband Joseph Tofuri; her caregiver Aide; her stepchildren, Linda Gonsalves and Robert Gonsalves; and her brother Michael Tropea (Joseph). She is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
