Robert A. Messina Obituary
We announce the death of Robert A. Messina of Stoneham, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 85. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas J. Messina and Evelyn F. Messina (Joyce); and his sister Rosemary Blier. He is survived by: his wife Susan S. Messina (Magliozzi); his children, Robert A. Messina, Jr. (Iris), Christopher M. Messina (Joanne) and Kerri L. DeProfio (William); his grandchildren, Maxwell Messina (Maura Intonti), Dante Messina, Ava DeProfio and Luke DeProfio; and his brother John Messina. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Barile Family Funeral Home-Stoneham (482 Main St, Stoneham, MA 02180). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Patrick Church (71 Central St, Stoneham, MA 02180). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at the Lindenwood Cemetery.
