With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Arthur J. Mayo Sr. of Stoughton, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Arthur may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Mayo and Ida Mayo; his wife Carol A. Mayo; and his siblings, Robert, Edward, Clifford and Maureen Ciannavei.
He is survived by: his son Arthur J. Mayo Jr. (Janet) of Sharon; his grandchildren, William and Valerie Mayo; and his brother Richard Mayo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home (455 Washington St, Canton, MA 02021). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
