He was predeceased by: his parents, George Washburn and Julia Washburn (Ruby); and his brother James Washburn. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Washburn (DePaul); and his children, Beth Roderick (Jeff) of Stoughton and Gregg Washburn (Rosemary) of Franklin. He is also survived by niece, nephew and cousins.
