He was predeceased by: his parents, George Matthews and Bernice Matthews (Hayes); and his siblings, George Matthews and Barbara Flener. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn R. Matthews (Ferzoco); his children, Sandra L. Denneno (Andrew) of Raynham, David S. Matthews of Raynham and Robert J. Matthews (Tara) of Raynham; and his stepchildren, Kevin Mischley (Jennifer) of Wrentham, Mark Mischley (Michelle) of West Bridgewater and Carolyn Sullivan (David) of Vermont. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
