He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis "Lefty" Gaffney and Jeanne Parenteau (Hemphill); his father-in-law Walter; and his siblings, Tricia Gaffney DeCosta, Robert Gaffney and Susan Gaffney.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy S. Spear (Spear); his daughter Madison C. Gaffney of Cumberland, RI.; and his siblings, Jill Foreman of Stoughton, Christine Campilio of Mansfield, Michael Gaffney of Colorado and Joseph Gaffney of Stoughton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Farley Funeral Home (358 Park St, Stoughton, MA 02072). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
