With sadness, we share the passing of Richard B. Hardy of Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Richard, born on June 18, 1932, passed away on September 28, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard B. Hardy to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah C. Hardy; his parents, Charles Baxter Hardy and Phyllis Koehler Hardy of Worcester, MA; and his sister Janice Bjork. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth (Alan Peppel), Thomas (Jane Hardy) and Susan (Nicholas Tretter); his grandchildren, Allison (Mike Jenkins), Kaitlin (Bobby Becker), Andrew Peppel (Alexandria), Nathaniel (Callie), Cole, McKenna Hardy, Dr. Lindsay and Spencer Tretter; and his great grandchildren, Saylor, Charlee, Ford Becker, Avery, Wells, Bennett Jenkins and Margot Peppel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home (130 Hamilton St, Southbridge, MA 01550). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Meeting House (1 Old Sturbridge Village Rd, Sturbridge, MA 01566).
