He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Welch and Marguerite Welch. He is survived by: his sisters, Cheryl Welch Ferrer of Miami, FL and Cynthia Welch Conroy of Plantation, FL; his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Jennifer Ferrer, Michael Conroy and Christine Conroy-Bourne; and his great-nephew Culhane Bourne.
