It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles H. MacLaughlin Jr. of Swampscott, Massachusetts, born in Melrose, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 27, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. MacLaughlin and Helen MacLaughlin (Connors); his cousin Robert MacLaughlin (Bobby); and his siblings, Robie MacLaughlin and Mary O'Neil.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine MacLaughlin (Cascetta); his son Charles H. MacLaughlin, III; his close friends, Jill Burns (Philip J. MacLaughlin) and Anabela Borges; his grandsons, Kennon MacLaughlin and Ian MacLaughlin; his brother David MacLaughlin (Ann) of Gloucester; his nieces, Laura, Diane and Ellen; his great-uncle Charlie; his cousins, Lester MacLaughlin of Marblehead and Rosemary Dolan of Melrose; his brother-in-law Louis Cascetta (Paula); and his nieces, Nicole, Kristen and Nora of Revere.
