He was predeceased by: his parents, Erland Townsend and Lois Townsend (Waite). He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Townsend (Memije); his children, Jordan Townsend, Alexandra Townsend (Alex), Benjamin Townsend and Riley Townsend; his brothers, Erland "Terry" Townsend III (Barbara) and Stephen H. Townsend (Jeannette); his cousins, Ricard Townsend and Erica Clay (Waite); and his aunt Aileen (Gardner). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and godchildren.
