As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Leo may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Jacob and Esther Sandel (Stein); and his siblings, Francis Sidman, Irving Sandel and George Sandel.
He is survived by: his nieces, Ilsa Sandel and Stacy Sidman; and his wife Marion Sandel. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Rainbow Division Veterans Foundation, an organization dedicated to commemorating the deeds, sacrifices, and traditions of the 42nd Infantry (Rainbow) Division or the American Cancer Society in memory of his beloved wife Marion Sandel.
