He was predeceased by : his parents, Sherlock Sorem and Anna Sorem. He is survived by : his wife Kathleen Sorem (Geary); his son Douglas Sorem (Little Doug); his grandchildren, Marc and Olivia Sorem; and his siblings, Kevin Sorem (Claudia), Karen Wood (Thomas) and Mary Lero (Joseph). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Douglas's honor made to the Somerset Lions Club, 329 Washington St in Somerset Ma 02726.
