It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria T. Botelho of Swansea, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 8, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Maria T. Botelho to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid Maria farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Maria is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Moniz Botelho and Francisca Oliveira; and her siblings, Fernando, Domingos, Manuel Botelho, Jose and Antonio Moniz.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Leonor Botelho. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Saint Francis Xavier Church (81 N Carpenter St, East Providence, RI 02914). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (550 Wampanoag Trl, Riverside, RI 02915).
