Marie Erickson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Erickson of Swansea, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 3, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Junior C. Erickson (Eric); her parents, Jacinto Soares and Calminha Soares (Rego); her son Jeffrey Erickson (Barbara) of Swansea; and her siblings, Alice Soares, Mary Silvia, Isabel Roderiques, Frank P. Soares, John P. Soares, Jesse Soares, Caroline Therrien and Valentine Montgomery.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dawn Turner of Swansea, Gina Weyland of Swansea and Andrea Crespi (Joseph) of Berkley; her grandchildren, Anson, Keith Turner (Tracie), Andrew, Christopher, Daniel Erickson (Monica), Sean, Loren Weyland, Briel, Bailey and Jillian Crespi; and her great grandchildren, Kaiden and Gable Turner. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
A wake was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home (1521 N Main St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Congregational Church (1113 G. A. R Highway, Swansea, MA). A burial was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Mount Hope Cemetery (22 Hortonville Rd, Swansea, MA 02777).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Christian Congregational Church.
