He was predeceased by: his brother James "Dougie" Ortiz. He is survived by: his parents, Dimariz Ortiz and Eric Alston; his son Donte Terrell Ortiz, Jr.; his siblings, David Mendes and Dimaray Ortiz; and his grandmother Charlotte Perry. He is also survived by numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
