She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Turner and Marie Turner (Gonsalves); and her stepparent Teodor Pludra. She is survived by: her husband Fernando "Fred" Amaral; her children, Lyndsay Amaral (J. D. Woods) and Derek Amaral (Deirdre Reid); her grandchildren, Derek Jr., Dominic and J. D.; her sisters, Caron Pludra and Lauren Plurda-Pratt (Richard Pratt); her siblings-in-law, Fernanda "Nina" Bulcao (Laurindo), Gabriel (Linda) and Peter Amaral (Gail); and her aunt Jeannette Menker. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
