He was predeceased by: his parents, Frans Tichelaar and Grietje Tichelaar (Medemer); and his siblings, Frans Tichelaar, Louise Wenner and Greta Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Robertson (Ed), James Tichelaar and Stacey Tichelaar; his grandsons, Scott Robertson, Jeffrey Robertson and Nicholas Robertson; and his brother Gerrit Tichelaar. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
