He is survived by : his wife Linda Leason (Poitras); his children, Ryan and Sam of Taunton, MA; his mother Jane; and his brother David of Broad Brook, CT. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.

“I am terribly saddened to hear about John, my condolences to the family. I worked with John for many years. He was a great engineer, particularly skilled and creatively solving problems. Above all, he was always proud of his family, wife an sons of course, and we also used to hear a great deal about his Dad whom I gather was an in-family consultant for him, among many other things I'm sure. He left a legacy of good work behind and I miss him.”
