He was predeceased by: his wife Ilda Moniz (Silva); his parents, Jose Moniz and Jesuina Moniz (Monteiro); and his brother Joseph Moniz, Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, J. Michael Moniz of Assonet and Anthony P. Moniz of Taunton; his granddaughters, Jennifer Moniz of Tennessee and Jessica Moniz of Brighton; his siblings, Mary Ribeiro of Wareham, Manuel Moniz (Marie) of Norton and Luiz Moniz; and his niece Liza Peterson.
