He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Albert and Margaret Therese Jones (Healey); his granddaughter Alexandra Kucera; his siblings, Charles Jones, Margaret Moss (Jones) and Evelyn Nichols (Jones); and his siblings-in-law, Ernest Rheaume (Pete), Irene Jones, William Moss and Thomas Nichols.

He is survived by: his wife Traudel Strittmatter; his children, Teresa Kucera (Mark), Verena Jones, Andrea Jones, Bettina Westerberg (Kevin Westerberg) and Larson Jones; his grandchildren, Tess Kucera, Eliza Kucera, David Westerberg, Kurt Westerberg, Brett Westerberg and Nathan Westerberg; and his sisters, Maureen Rheaume (Jones) and Rosemary Motzenbecker (Eric Motzenbecker).
