Lawrence E. Jones Obituary

The memory of Lawrence E. Jones of Taunton, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 2, 2025 at the age of 91, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Albert and Margaret Therese Jones (Healey); his granddaughter Alexandra Kucera; his siblings, Charles Jones, Margaret Moss (Jones) and Evelyn Nichols (Jones); and his siblings-in-law, Ernest Rheaume (Pete), Irene Jones, William Moss and Thomas Nichols.

He is survived by: his wife Traudel Strittmatter; his children, Teresa Kucera (Mark), Verena Jones, Andrea Jones, Bettina Westerberg (Kevin Westerberg) and Larson Jones; his grandchildren, Tess Kucera, Eliza Kucera, David Westerberg, Kurt Westerberg, Brett Westerberg and Nathan Westerberg; and his sisters, Maureen Rheaume (Jones) and Rosemary Motzenbecker (Eric Motzenbecker).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home (350 Somerset Ave, Taunton, MA 02780). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish (19 Kilmer Ave, Taunton, MA 02780). A burial will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at the St. Francis Cemetery (24 Glebe St, Taunton, MA 02780).
