He was predeceased by: his sister Irene B. Simões (José) of Portugal. He is survived by: his spouse Assunção A. Batista (Carvalho); his daughters, Sandra C. Gomes (Manuel) of East Taunton, MA and Ana P. Chavarria (Paul) of Taunton, MA.; his sister Isabel B. Benido (Salvador); his grandchildren, Delaney DeGroff (Reese), Nathanael Chavarria, Jayden Chavarria, Jamen Gomes, Jaxen Gomes and Lily Chavarria; and his great grandchild Kayde DeGroff. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
