She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Smith; her daughter Yvonne Peters; and her parents, Sidney Sorrentino and Agnes Sorrentino. She is survived by: her children, Richard Smith, Peter Smith, Annette Baillargeon, Jeffrey Smith and Dean Smith; and her sister Edie Durand of Kingston, Mass. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, a cause close to Marie's heart.
