He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Bonnie Simmons (Zeller); his parents, Barbara Simmons (McElroy) of Dighton and Richard Simmons Sr.; his siblings, Barbara Sullivan (late Brian Sullivan) of Dighton, Anne Prescottano (Ray) of Bourne, Mark Simmons (Sue Sullivan) of Maine, Sue Brown (Bob Dermody) of Maine and Chris Simmons (Mary Anne Souza) of Dighton; his mother-in-law Nancy Shaw of Middleboro; his siblings-in-law, Brian Alphonse of Taunton, Kevin Alphonse of East Freetown and Cyndi Simmons of Rehoboth; and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Carroll, Brian Sullivan Jr., Timothy Sullivan, John Simmons, Katherine Fournier and Caroline Simmons.
