He was predeceased by: his wife Louise Benson (Vieira); and his parents, Leonora Benson (King) and Harold Benson. He is survived by: his siblings, Joyce Souza of Taunton, Cynthia McPhillips, David Benson of East Providence, RI, Richard Benson of Taunton and Fred Benson of Taunton; his children, Jason Benson, Daniel Benson and Rosie Benson Kenney; and his grandchildren, George Rose and Julia Rose.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home (467 Bay St, Taunton, MA 02780). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Knoll Cemetery (175 Staples St, East Taunton, MA 02718).
