He is survived by: his former wife Bernadette Pontes (Smith); his daughter Cheryl Stankaukas (Rodman Goff) of Dighton; his grandchild Casey Shoemaker of Dighton; his brother Richard Pontes of Taunton; and his nephew David McGuire.
