She was predeceased by: her parents, Hermano Andrade and Maria Andrade (Resendes). She is survived by: her husband Breno Chaves; her children, Monique Chaves of Taunton and Ryan Chaves (Ashley) of Taunton; her grandchildren, Trinity, Kyleigh, Alana, Alexander, Elijah, Audrey, Zuri and Ella; and her siblings, Joseph Andrade of Berkley, Olga Almeida of Freetown, Herman Andrade of Taunton, Eusebio Andrade of Taunton, Michael Andrade of Taunton, Donna Gomes of Taunton and Lucy Heroux of Taunton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made in Zelia's memory may be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
