He was predeceased by: his parents, James Vincent Shea Sr. and Anastasia Irene Shea (Connolly); his siblings, Joan Ricca, Tom Shea Sr. and Paul Shea; and his wife Kathleen Elizabeth (MacRae).
He is survived by: his children, Kristen Calnan (Shea) of Chelmsford, Michael (Sandy) of Billerica, Daniel (Gina) of North Chelmsford and James III of Brookfield; his brother David Edwin Shea (Kathy Corcoran); his grandchildren, Patrick Calnan (Ashley), Matthew Calnan, Sarah Calnan and Jacob Galvin; and his great grandchild Logan. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
