He was predeceased by: his wife Irene Howell (Phelan); his parents, William and Helen Howell (Slater); his siblings, Ellen Johnson and William Howell (Mary); and his brother-in-law Thomas Brady.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond Howell (Maria), Daniel Howell (Paula) and Dean Pevey (Regina); his grandchildren, Isabel, Dean, Sam, Ryan and Ava; his sister Florence Brady; and his brother-in-law Robert Johnson. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
