It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert L Terrell in Tufts University, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 29, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred A. Terrell. He is survived by: his sisters, Roxanne Hoke-Chandler of Boston, MA, Michelle Da Silva of Stoughton, MA and Robyn Franklin-Vaughn of Bowie, MD; his brothers-in-law, Raymond Franklin-Vaughn of Bowie, MD, Roderick Brathwaite of Boston, MA and Silvonei DaSilva of Stoughton, MA; and his siblings' children, Faith, Ebony Joy Chandler of Boston, MA and Michael Nelson DaSilva of Stoughton, MA.

“Even though we were both in our seventies, when Bob would smile I saw the young man I met at Wellesley with my friend Camara Jones. Quite handsome, intelligent, very committed to PanAfrican liberation causes, a good dancer and a true gentleman. None of those qualities changed but became refined by time. I recently retired and planned to spend time with more good old souls and am truly saddened that I didn't get to spend more time with Bob. Truly a community champion and example for all.”
