We are sad to announce that on June 30, 2025, Jay D. O'Connor of Walpole, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David J. O'Connor, Jr. and Barbara J. O'Connor (McSweeney); his stepmother Joan O'Connor (Donovan); his brother David J. O'Connor, III; his aunt Joan (McSweeney); and his uncle Gerald T. Reilly.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa B. O'Connor (Sybertz); his children, Colleen of Walpole, Maeve of Walpole, Bridget of Walpole, Patrick of Walpole and Nora O'Connor of Walpole; his siblings, Paul F. O'Connor (Maureen Follen) of Franklin, Thomas J. O'Connor (Marie E.) of Scituate, Mark J. O'Connor (Brenda) of Norwood and Christopher D. O'Connor (David Conneely) of Norwood; his parents-in-law, Leo Sybertz of Walpole and Joyce Sybertz (Tully) of Walpole; his sisters-in-law, Kristin Sybertz (Patrick Carragher) of Quincy, Erica Glaropoulos (Bill) of Walpole, Sheila O'Connor of West Roxbury and Cheryl O'Connor of Norwood; and his nieces and nephews, Barbara, Erin, David, Tommy, Christopher, Kate, Mark, Laura, James, Matthew, Lauren, Terrence, George and Matina.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home (2055 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Theresa of Avila Church (2078 Centre St, Boston, MA 02132).
