He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary (Doherty); his children, Mairead (Jeremy Ritter-Wiseman) of Washington, D. C., John of Mesa Verde, CO, Bridget of Chicago, IL and Neil of Pittsburgh, PA; his siblings, Mary Beth Cahill (Steve Champlin), Edward Cahill (Mary Ann), Michael Cahill (Elaine), Ann Castagnetti (David) and Clare Serrantino (Paul); and his parents, Helen Cahill (McDevitt) and Edward Cahill. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home (11 Lincoln St, Framingham, MA 01702). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bridget Church - Framingham (830 Worcester Rd, Framingham, MA 01702).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Saint John's Catholic Church and Food for the Poor Program at 20 Temple Street, Worcester, MA 01604, home parish of long-time friend Father John Madden.
