He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Louise Slye (Smith); his children, Jonathan P. Slye, Therese Slye of Cocoa Beach, FL, Malorie J. Dwyer of Kingston, MA and Christopher J. Slye of Walpole, MA.; his parents, Helen F. McSorley and Malcolm G. Slye Sr.; his sister Patricia A. Hughes of Medford, MA; his grandchildren, Daniel and Aspen Slye of Walpole, MA.; and his great grandchildren, Brody, Brooke, Jake Dwyer, Violette and Vance Dwyer.
