He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas M. Gavin and Mary Gavin (Ford); his wife Margaret "Peggy" Mary O'Connor (O'Connor) of Claire's Church; his grandchild Hess Truck; his daughters, Jennifer L. Nelson (Jeremy) of Franklin, Julie A. Rooney (late Larry) of Walpole and Danielle K. Gavin of Walpole; his grandchildren, Gavin Rooney, John Nelson, Maggie Rooney and Jillian Nelson; and his brothers, David Gavin (late Sally) of Dennis, Donald Gavin of Florida and Richard Gavin (Lois) of Wakefield. He was also cherished by many loving nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home (48 Common St, Walpole, MA 02081). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Timothy's Church (650 Nichols St, Norwood, MA 02062).
