We bid farewell to Philip Anthony Murphy (Walpole, Massachusetts), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 22, 2025 at the age of 96. Philip touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Murphy and Maggie Murphy (McGeough); and his siblings, Patrick Joe Murphy (Linda) of Braintree, Mae Romey (late John), Margaret McGrail (Hugh) of Medway and Veronica Wright (William) of Braintree.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Ann Burke; his aunt Irene; his children, Donna Musumeci (Joel) of Beverly, Neil Murphy (Donna) of Walpole, Christopher Murphy (Kristine) of North Andover and David Murphy (Kathleen) of Scituate; his grandchildren, Molly, Erin, Vivian, James, Neil Jr., David Jr. and Catherine; and his sisters, Bernadette Burke (late Robert) of Braintree and Patricia Molloy (Robert) of Braintree. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home (48 Common St, Walpole, MA 02081). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (10 Diamond St, Walpole, MA 02081).
